"Inadequate Appraisal of Vehicles"
I put in my request for a review of my collector car, a Cadillac ATS-V, but they turned me down, saying it’s not a collector model. They also rejected my everyday ride, a 2021 Jeep Wrangler, claiming it’s not suitable for daily use. I mean, come on! A low-production V series Cadillac isn’t anything to sneeze at, and a one-year-old Jeep isn’t exactly junk for daily driving. Honestly, I doubt they even bothered to really check out my application since it wasn’t some high-end exotic.

"Terrible Experience with Grundy Insurance"
For the last five years, I've had coverage on my classic car through Grundy, part of Philadelphia Insurance Companies, and I used to think they were a solid choice. I believed they genuinely cared about their clients and their vehicles. However, after a recent dent on my classic ride, my claim got shot down. The letter I received said the appraiser determined the damage was due to either shoddy workmanship or a defect from the manufacturer, so they won’t cover it, claiming it’s just normal wear and tear. Seriously, how can a dent be labeled as normal wear and tear? How can it be blamed on poor workmanship or a manufacturer’s defect? I’ve poured six figures into a professional restoration that started a decade ago and wrapped up five years back, so I just can’t wrap my head around how this dent could be anyone’s fault but the circumstances of life. If there was poor workmanship or a defect, it would’ve shown up long before now, especially since the part that got dented is over 50 years old.
Every time I try to reach out to the Claims Supervisor, Joseph Zampogna, I just end up in his voicemail. He says he’ll call back soon, but I’ve left him plenty of messages with my details and claim number, and I never hear back.
I refuse to give my business to a company that makes such random and unreasonable decisions regarding claims. If they won’t cover a simple dent, what on earth do they actually cover?
Seriously, just run away from this company if you’re looking for collector car insurance!

"Not Worth It"
Not worth it. Honestly, I would have been smarter not to insure my vehicles for over seven years. They excel at taking your money but that’s about it. After years of paying, I finally file a claim, and not only do they reject it, but they also kick me to the curb. The agent sure doesn’t mention all the exclusions upfront. You only discover them when they turn you down. Save your cash and choose a company with a better reputation.

This company is a total joke. They're super disorganized, and their system feels like it's from the Stone Age. The info on their website for submissions is all wrong, and it took them a whole month to conclude that my two cars aren't 'collectors.' Trust me, they definitely are. They're rare models, registered as Collectors... maybe they just don’t know what they’re talking about, lol.
A clueless company for sure. Honestly, it’s probably a good thing; I wouldn’t want to deal with them if I had to make a claim!

"Grundy provided coverage for my classic car in New York..."
Grundy took care of insuring my classic ride in New York, even though I had a regular car registered in North Carolina. They wouldn’t renew my policy unless I had another vehicle registered in New York. We really messed up. So, do I need to buy another car just to keep in New York so they’ll cover my classic? Seriously!!

So, my car insurance provider was shutting down, and that’s when Grundy reached out to me. They informed me about the situation and offered me the same coverage but at a lower price, which was nice. I’m eager to see how things go with Grundy, but honestly, I don’t know much about them yet.

"Grundy Wins, Competitor Loses!"
For many years, I had my classic and sports cars covered by a well-known competitor. Recently, while browsing a collector truck group on Facebook, folks started chatting about this 'competitor' and Grundy Insurance. A lot of people mentioned how their rates had gone up with that competitor, and mine was no different. I decided to give a Grundy rep a call, and I was blown away by the quote I got for my vehicles that were insured elsewhere. It saved me a cool $300 a year! I then reached out to the 'competitor' to see if they could match the price. They told me that because they were growing, they had to increase their rates. I thought, if you're growing, why not lower the prices? So, I made the switch to GRUNDY! Big thanks to Grundy!

"Had to Restart Everything After My Wife's Insurance Lapse"
So, my wife let the insurance lapse, and I found myself having to redo everything for all my cars, snapping pics and whatnot. It took me days to wrap it up. I honestly didn’t expect to have to take all those pictures again, especially since I hadn’t sent in some for a few of the cars at the start.

"Way Too Much Time Spent"
Getting the policy in my hands took way longer than it should have, and I had to make a ton of phone calls. Honestly, this is something that ought to be done in just a few hours, not drag on for days. I was almost in a bind with the shipment pickup since I didn’t have the policy ready. That could've cost me a lot, and it was super stressful.
